Ehm well, first time I interested in Pride and Prejudice (my sis called it PdPj) is when I saw the DVD, movie version that starred by Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen. I thought how beautiful the actress is and it made me curious how she play her role. So yeah, i watched it and found myself enjoy the dancing scene. The movement seems interesting :). Sadly, they talk too fast with unfamiliar accent for me so I didn't get the story at all, even I have watched it several times haha.

So one day, I went to Gramedia with my family and from my sis, I knew that this story had published by several publisher. The one i bought was the thicker ones, published by Qanita. Anyway because it's thick enough, I kept procrastinate reading it until several days ago, hehe.

Pride and Prejudice is a novel by Jane Austen, first published in 1813. The story follows the main character Elizabeth Bennet as she deals with issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education and marriage in the society of the landed gentry of early 19th-century England. Elizabeth is the second of five daughters of a country gentleman, living near the fictional town of Meryton in Hertfordshire, near London. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pride_and_Prejudice)

While the movie get nice response, the book, on the other hand, claimed as a boring story, with repetitive character's activity (visiting neighbour and attending dance party) and predictable ending. Many readers claimed that they dissapointed with this story, considering Pride and Prejudice is claimed as one of the most popular novels of all time.

However, for a classic story, Pride and Prejudice is quite enchanting. Good for me I had watched the movie so I have good illustration while i was reading.Or you can guess that I just curious what differences between movie and book version so even the ending is predictable, it didn't bother me to keep read it with passion, hehe.
